Root Canal Treatment

The healthiest teeth are yours…

No artificial teeth can replace natural teeth even if they are produced with the highest quality materials. Therefore, root canal treatment is of great importance to protect natural teeth and prevent natural tooth loss.

In the event of damage, inflammation and loss of vitality of the dental pulp, which contains the living tissues in the tooth root canals, the root of tooth, i.e. dental pulp, is extirpated during the root canal treatment performed. After removing the dental pulp, the remaining space is cleaned, shaped and filled.

We, as Denta Clinic, prevent the loss of the natural tooth of our patients when we encounter the damaged pulp that occurs in cases such as cracked, impacted or decayed teeth. We perform your root canal treatment with our experienced Endodontic specialists and make the damaged teeth available. Thus, we prevent abscess formation caused by damaged pulp, improve jawbone health and maintain the chewing function of our patients.

What Is Root Canal Treatment?

Root canal treatment is a treatment that is applied to repair and recover the teeth with severely decayed root canal or the infected ones. During root canal treatment, dental pulp and nerves are removed and the inner part of the tooth is cleaned and filled. Tissues and bones surrounding the tooth to which root canal treatment is applied are prevented from being infected and damaged.

How to Perform Root Canal Treatment?

Endodontics, i.e. root canal treatment, is a treatment method that consists of multiple stages. Before starting the procedure, the problematic tooth must first be determined by radiography. The tooth and surrounding tissues with damaged root are numbed with local anesthesia and then, the tooth to be treated is isolated from the surrounding tissues.

The endodontic cavity is prepared in the root canals of the tooth, the working length of the root canal is determined, the cavity formed after the dental pulp is removed is cleaned and the root canals are filled to prevent leakage.

Root canal treatment can be finalized in one session or in two sessions. If the procedure is to be performed in two sessions, temporary dental filling procedure is applied.
